Last Updated: Friday, February 6, 2025, 11:08 AM ET
Race Note:
Incumbent Republican Sen. Cynthia Lummis, first elected in 2020, is seeking a second term in 2026. Wyoming, the least populated state in the nation, has been represented exclusively by Republicans in the U.S. Senate since 1977 and remains the strongest Republican state in the country.
In the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump won Wyoming by 46 points with 72% of the vote—the highest percentage ever recorded for a presidential candidate in the state and the only time since 2012 that any nominee has surpassed 70% in a state. Wyoming has not voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since 1964, and Republicans continue to hold every statewide office, both U.S. Senate seats, and large supermajorities in the state legislature.
