My name is Jack Mercer, and I was raised in Wayne, Michigan, where I grew up around families who worked hard and expected that hard work would be enough to build a stable life. Over time, too many jobs disappeared, wages fell behind, and decisions affecting our communities were made far from home or in offices that none of us could even TOUCH. I’m running for the United States Senate because Lakeshore needs leadership focused on jobs and long-term stability, strengthening labor unions, supporting American manufacturing, investing in infrastructure, and standing up to corporations that drive up costs and move their labor abroad. I’m seeking the Democratic nomination because I believe our party and government should put working families and communities first and focus on practical economic reform that keeps opportunity here in Lakeshore.
