Lily Arcadia Townhall in Novi, MI
Ahead of next week’s Republican Convention in Novi, MI, I’ll be hosting a Town Hall on Labor Rights and the Future of American Industry right here in the heart of Southeast Michigan.
I was born and raised in Southeast Michigan, and my dad worked in the skilled trades for one of the Big Three automakers. Like so many families in our region, we understood that good-paying union and skilled labor jobs built the middle class and kept our communities strong.
That’s why this conversation matters.
Protecting American industry takes more than tough talk. Tariffs alone don’t mean much if we aren’t also investing in the factories, infrastructure, and technology that allow American workers to compete and win. If we want the next generation of manufacturing jobs to be built here in Lakeshore, we need policies that support workers, strengthen supply chains, and modernize the industries that power our economy.
This town hall will be an opportunity for workers, union members, small business owners, and community members to discuss the future of labor, manufacturing, and economic growth across Lakeshore's 2nd District.
If you care about the future of American industry and the dignity of work, I hope you’ll join the conversation.
Let's get to work.
