With zero primary opponents, Joshua Black is already campaigning for the general election, which he has a very high chance of winning. His message of moderation has struck a chord with a divided electorate. As a politician who is at the dead center ideologically, he may become a swing vote within the Senate in the near future, being economically center-left but socially center-right.
