My name is Emma Green and I'm here to recruit you. That's what I said years ago when I declared my candidacy for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
I'm here to recruit you to build a better city with affordable living, reliable jobs, a reliable healthcare system, a safe city and education that works for the city.
As Mayor, I put that rhetoric into action. We introduced the Silicon Partnership Initiative to ensure San Franciscans have access to the best tech jobs around. We authorised the Affordable Care Act - San Francisco, considering for the first time a universal healthcare system in our city. We secured extra funding the the Bay Area infrastructure deal with San Jose, we adapted all City Hall buildings to renewable energy systems.
But, we can do more. Further than just our city... But our state.
That's why I am running for the US Senate.
The Inflation Reduction Act was the biggest and best spending commitments into our state's infrastructure ever. I worked with President Biden to bring the bill into our city. But, we can go further. That's why I'm excited to bring forth the Modernisation Act. We're talking about legislation to powerfully kickstart American's next age; an age meaning where you go in life is not determined by your Zip Code.
Affordable living, a greener country, support for the next generation, universal healthcare and investment; investment; investment!
