Good morning my fellow Pacificans,
Today, I'm thrilled to announce my candidacy for Congress in our 1st Congressional District.
I'm a proven winner. Whether that's 5 consecutive elections to our State Legislature, becoming the first openly gay Speaker of the Pacifica House or passing some of the most meaningful environmental legislation ever passed in the world. I want to go to Congress to secure more wins for Pacifica
I'm standing on a platform of environmental change and fighting to end the rip-off healthcare system that is bleeding the middle class dry.
The Emissions Trading Scheme here in Pacifica is the most successful in the world and has kept big corporations here in California and happy to abide by our rules. But it's not enough. I want to go further. I'm standing for a nationwide Emissions Trading Scheme to help keep our air clean and our corporations in check.
The healthcare system right now is a load of trash. Middle Class Pacificans pay their taxes and pay these insurance companies thousands of dollars a year but when they need them the most, insurance companies have to be dragged kicking and screaming to help out. We can do better, elect me and my Democratic colleagues and the first act of Congress will be MEDICARE FOR ALL. MFA is the only way we can truly stop hard-working Pacifican families from hearing the awful news that their bill isn't being covered.
